The largest chariot racing stadium in Rome. Not a lot to actually see here and nothing done to make it particularly interesting as a landmark. Walked through it on the way to Isola Tiberina. Full review by chriswood72

Circus Maximus was a Chariot Racing Stadium , the largest in Rome and capable of holding 150,000 people. It sist in the valley between the Aventine and Palatine Hills. There is a not a lot here but… Full review by Oldjack

Thanks for the informative description of the Circus Maximus. You mention readers to watch Spartacus. Did you mean by mistake to watch Ben Hur? I enjoyed both movies tremendously, but there was more in Ben Hur that related to the Chariot races. Maybe I was wrong, thanks anyway for the review.

As soon as I finished the review, I told my husband what I’d written & he laughed saying that I should have said Ben Hur. So yes, my mistake sorry :)
