Throughly enjoyed our day at the railway. Arrived early so we had lots of rides on the train. Volunteers are lovely and know there information. Really interesting day and funday out for all the family Full review by VictoriaG644

You can go early and enjoy the little museum can look after your trip too. No one rushing you. We were about 45 mins on train it’s a nice time enjoy merry Christmas

There is no charge for visitors under three years of age, thankyou for asking. All the details are of course on our website including open times, directions and much more.

The train ride takes approximately 35 to 40 minutes. If we have one locomotive in steam, it runs around the train in the sidings to pull the train on the return. This is an hourly service …

The train ride takes approximately 35 to 40 minutes. If we have one locomotive in steam, it runs around the train in the sidings to pull the train on the return. This is an hourly service starting at 11am. If we are running two engines, as we will do at the Diesel Weekend, the ride will be around 30 minutes with a 45 minute timetable in operation. Your day ticket allows unlimited rides. More good info on our website to help you enjoy your visit.

This August Bank Holiday, we have a Friendly Engines event for the youngsters and families. There is no need to pre-book for this event - just turn up and enjoy your day.
