Hunter Dickinson is no stranger to playing Michigan State. Before transferring to play for Kansas basketball last season, he thrived with Michigan.

No. 1 Kansas survived another big early season test and outlasted Michigan State 77-69 in Atlanta in the first of a Champions Classic doubleheader. The 3-0 Jayhawks never quite pulled away in convincing fashion but nonetheless controlled the game throughout before building a comfortable margin and burying the Spartans late.

No. 1 Kansas faces Michigan State on Tuesday in the first leg of the Champions Classic. The marquee showdown between two of the most successful programs in college basketball is one of the best games of the 2024-25 season.
