Delta flight 112 from Boston to Rome was delayed Tuesday night after the crew reported a problem with the engine ahead of takeoff, officials said.

On Tuesday night around 7 p.m., Delta Airlines flight 112 bound for Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport in Rome experienced an engine issue before departure, according to a Delta spokesperson. A fire was discovered on the No. 1 engine and emergency crews quickly extinguished it.

A plane at Boston Logan International Airport experienced some engine trouble on Monday night. Massport said a United Airlines flight had engine issues as it was taxiing on the runway. Those issues apparently caused a grass fire to ignite behind the plane as it moved down the tarmac.
