Orleans police haul dead shark on tow truck after carcass washes up on Nauset Beach
The town’s harbormaster called in the shark at around 10 a.m., according to Dennis Reed, the tow-truck operator. Town staff dragged the carcass — which they later said weighed in at 1,240 pounds — to the beach parking lot. Reed’s truck arrived to drive it away.
