On the Beach' is confirmed to launch at some point next year, Hideo Kojima cannot give a more specific release date "due to unforeseen circumstances".

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach was announced during The Game Awards 2022, and back in May this year Kojima-san revealed that the game was now in an “adjustment phase’ that will last about a year. As with the first Death Stranding, The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus will feature in a starring role in the sequel and will be joined by Elle Fanning.

Speaking during a panel for Death Stranding 2 at the 2024 Tokyo Game Show, Kojima said that the game's release date "has already been decided". Despite this, Kojima wasn't able to announce the launch date this week due to "unforeseen circumstances".
