A “massive” Russian missile and drone attack has targeted power infrastructure across Ukraine, the country’s energy minister German Galushchenko has said. It is the largest such assault since early September, with reports of several explosions across Ukraine, according to authorities and local media.

Russia has launched one of the largest aerial attacks on Ukraine, Ukrainian officials said, hitting energy infrastructure across the country, killing at least five people and causing widespread damage.

Russian attacks on various regions of Ukraine in October led to the deaths of 183 civilians and injured a further 903 people, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine reported.
