ATLANTA — A man is in custody after he allegedly shot and killed his co-worker inside a southwest Atlanta barbershop Thursday morning. Just after 10 a.m., Atlanta police responded to a 911 call at a barbershop in the 3700 block of Carmia Drive in southwest Atlanta, which is the address of Up Next Barber Shop & Beauty.

Just before 4:30 a.m., officers were called to 1192 Pryor Street in southwest Atlanta regarding a person shot. When police arrived, they found a 39-year-old man who sustained apparent gunshot wounds. APD said the man was taken to the hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
