Florida voters approved two of four ballot measures proposed by the Legislature, putting hunting and fishing rights in the state Constitution and making a property tax change.

There are six constitutional amendments up for a vote on Florida's ballot -- one of which is Amendment 2. If passed, it would preserve the right to hunt and fish.However, those opposed say it's not how it appears.

Floridians are protected on a state-wide level when fishing or hunting, but FWC still has authority over those activities and their rules and regulations must still be followed.

Six amendments were on the ballot in Florida, two of which gained national attention and only two out of the six passed.

About 67% of voters supported what appeared on the ballot as Amendment 2 and was titled "Right to Fish and Hunt."

TAMPA, Fla. - Amendment 2 enshrines a right to hunt and fish in the Florida constitution. Floridians passed the amendment that is intended to "preserve forever fishing and hunting, including by the use of traditional methods, as a public right and preferred means of responsibly managing and controlling fish and wildlife."
