Students at Appalachian State will not return to class until October 15th in light of the deadly storm and catastrophic damage caused in its wake. UNC Asheville won’t have classes until at least Oct.

Asheville, like much of western North Carolina, was ravaged from flooding that shut down access to the city and power for days.
