BERLIN (AP) — Prominent Russian opposition figures led a march of at least 1,000 people in central Berlin Sunday, criticizing Russian President Vladimir Putin and his war in Ukraine and calling for democracy in Russia.

Hundreds of people, including Alexei Navalny's wife, Yulia Navalnaya, and recently released political prisoners Vladimir Kara-Murza and Ilya Yashin, protested in Berlin, demanding an end to the war in Ukraine and the removal of Russian President Vladimir Putin from power.

The march was led by Yulia Navalnaya, widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who died in February.
