The governing International Cricket Council (ICC) is in talks with several boards which have yet to pay prize money from this year's Twenty20 World Cup to the players, sources told Reuters on Thursday.

The ICC recently held discussions with five boards out of the 20 teams who took part in the T20 World Cup which took place in the USA and West Indies but failed to release prize money to the players.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is in talks with several cricket boards over the delayed payment of prize money to players from this year's ICC Men's T20 World Cup, sources confirmed to Reuters on Thursday.

Some teams from this year's men's T20 World Cup are yet to pay players their full prize money, according to the World Cricketers' Association.

Teams that finished between 20th and 13th were awarded £177,000, with an extra £24,500 given for each match won. Those that finished between ninth and 12th were given £195,011 while £301,400 went to the teams who were eliminated at the Super 8 stage.
