Longtime local pollster J. Ann Selzer announced Sunday morning that she is retiring from election polling. Selzer has been conducting Iowa polls since 1997, founding Selzer & Company in the late 90’s.

Since 1997 J. Ann Selzer has conducted election polls in Iowa, and her poll this election cycle, which garnered a lot of national attention, will be her last. Selzer announced the news on Sunday, and later on Sunday night President-elect Donald Trump took to Truth Social and claimed possible election fraud

Iowa pollster J. Ann Selzer explained why she will no longer lead election polling. She said that law enforcement has also advised her to watch out for her safety following the Des Moines Register Iowa Poll that showed Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump heading into the weekend before the 2024 election.
