DJ Lagway threw for a touchdown and set up another with a long completion in his return from a strained left hamstring, and the Florida Gators upset the LSU Tigers 27-16 Saturday, showing a bounce-back effort after losing to the Texas Longhorns last week.

After LSU's 42-13 loss to Alabama, the Tigers were out of the discussion for an at-large entry into the College Football Playoff. But entering week 12 at Florida, a path existed for LSU. It involved winning the SEC title.

LSU just dropped its third straight game, falling 27-16 to Florida in The Swamp. LSU’s last win came on Oct. 19 against Arkansas. LSU left that game sitting first place in the SEC. Now, after losses to Texas A&M, Alabama, and Florida, LSU is eliminated from SEC contention.
