The dynamic U.S. women's national team trio of Trinity Rodman, Sophia Smith and Mallory Swanson need time to heal from nagging injuries and won't travel for upcoming matches in Europe. U.S. coach Emma Hayes announced her roster Monday for friendly matches against England and the Netherlands.

The big news ahead of the roster announcement was Ajax midfielder Lily Yohannes committing to the U.S. She’ll be the only teenager on the national team this time around, as both Alyssa Thompson and Jaedyn Shaw turn 20 years old this month.

The trio, who played starring roles for the USA at the Paris Olympics, are not included in the 24-player squad due to what are being described as "nagging injuries"
