A Verizon cellular outage left at least some of the carrier’s customers without service Monday morning. The website Downdetector, which relies on user reports, showed a large spike in reported issues just before 7 a.m. Its map shows the issue is widespread, with reports of problems in cities across the country, including Portland.

Verizon says it is "aware of an issue impacting service for some customers" as tens of thousands are reporting network issues across the U.S.
