Police are investigating a homicide after a woman has died after being stabbed in Sacramento, officials say. Officers responded to the 6300 block of Leola Way, around 6:30 a.m., where they located a woman with multiple stab wounds. She was transported to the area hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Deputies were called to a report of a stabbing around 6:30 a.m. after a woman was taken to a hospital with wounds consistent with a stabbing, said Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Amar Gandhi. The woman died at the hospital, he said.

Around 12:45 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of a person stabbed at Ramsay Park, located at 1917 Washington St., between Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard, officials said.

Sacramento Police are searching for clues into a deadly stabbing Sunday night at a South Natomas apartment complex. Officers who were called just after 8 p.m. to the complex on the 2800 block of Gateway Oaks Drive in the Metro Center neighborhood found an unidentified man with at least one stab wound, police officials said Monday afternoon.
