The battle against the Jennings Creek wildfire in Orange County, New York continues Sunday following voluntary evacuations in the town of Warwick.
Some residents being asked to evacuate near Greenwood Lake fire
Some residents in Warwick, New York were asked to voluntarily evacuate on Saturday night after the wildfire in Greenwood Lake jumped one of the initial lines between 32 Edgemere and Wah Ta Wah Park. The Village of Greenwood Lake said in a Facebook post that residents on Edgemere Avenue were requested to evacuate.
Residents Evacuated Because of Fire on New York-New Jersey Border
The voluntary evacuation plan was put in place in areas affected by the Jennings Creek wildfire. Officials encouraged residents of 165 homes to move out temporarily.
