Two men approached an employee of a business about 8 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Archer Avenue when a fight broke out and there was an exchange of gunfire.

A grand opening of a bar ends in a deadly shootout between a security guard and two armed men Friday night on the city's Southwest Side. The bar was to be doing business illegally. City inspectors were inside the bar when gunshots rang out.
