Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Four people died in Missouri, including two poll workers, from flooding around the state on Tuesday. Two Wright County poll workers died on Election Day after floodwaters swept their vehicle and two others off State Route H near Beaver Creek in Wright County, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.

A couple working the polls together in Missouri died on Election Day after their vehicle was swept into floodwaters.

A Missouri couple died on Tuesday in flash floods while driving to a voting site. They were two of five people who lost their lives in rising waters on Election Day.

Beaver Creek, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. They tried swimming to dry ground, but they drowned, troopers said. They were pronounced dead just before 7 a.m. The couple, from Manes, has not been publicly identified as of Nov.
