After holding out for nearly two weeks, recalled Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price conceded on Monday. Price was recalled by a significant majority of Alameda County voters. The Associated Press called the election in favor of the recall passing on the Friday following the election.

As of Tuesday, the county said nearly 400,000 ballots had come in from about 960,000 registered voters. More are coming.

The election marked a referendum on progressive politics in the criminal justice system — particularly after the 2022 recall of San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin.
