As Cyclone Dana is approaching Odisha coast, tourists have started leaving Puri as per the directions of the state government. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the situation, some travel agents are reportedly charging exorbitant fare from them.

2) In view of the situation, the government has urged the tourists to leave the coastal town of Puri as a precautionary measure. “The tourists who have come to Puri should leave the seaside pilgrim town soon as the district is likely to be affected by the severe cyclonic storm,” Odisha Minister Suresh Pujari said.

In light of the impending cyclone, Odisha's Revenue Minister urges outstation tourists to leave Puri by Tuesday afternoon. The Puri district administration is on high alert, opening a 24X7 control room and ensuring safety measures along the coastline.
