The race between Democratic U.S. Rep. Emilia Sykes and Republican challenger Kevin Coughlin was considered one of the most competitive races in both Ohio and the U.S.

Sykes defeated Coughlin with just over 51% of the vote, according to unofficial results from the Ohio Secretary of State's office.
