Rice University senior Jae Kim was named a Rhodes scholar on Saturday, the only Texas university student to receive the prestigious award this year. Kim is Rice’s 13th Rhodes scholar overall but the school’s first since 2015,

The 2025 cohort of U.S. Rhodes Scholars was announced Saturday. The 32 Scholars will attend Oxford University next October for their graduate studies in various fields.

A group of 32 students from the United States have been selected to attend the University of Oxford as part of the prestigious Rhodes scholar program in the coming year among an international class representing more than 70 nations.
