The search for a murder suspect in San Joaquin has been called off as the suspect remains at large, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office initiated their search on Monday after the suspect fled during a traffic stop.

After being convicted of wire fraud in May, a former skydiving instructor in San Joaquin County was sentenced to two years in prison by a federal judge on Monday, according to the Eastern District Court of California.

Officials said deputies tried to pull over the suspect, who is wanted for attempted homicide out of Calaveras County, near Interstate 5 and Ben Holt Drive around 7 p.m.
