Vodafone Idea, one of India’s leading telcos, has announced efforts to fortify its cybersecurity by introducing Nokia’s NetGuard Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) across its network. This move aims to better protect both individual users and businesses from rising cyber threats.

Nokia announced that it has been awarded a three-year deal by Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) to deploy 4G and 5G equipment. The agreement includes the modernization and expansion of VIL’s 4G network of which Nokia is already a major supplier.

Vodafone Idea Ltd. has signed a $3.6 billion contract with companies including Nokia Oyj for the supply of equipment to the Indian phone carrier for a planned upgrade of its network.
