A new wildfire was reported today at 8:03 a.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. There is no information on the containment of the fire and its cause has not yet been determined.

A Bellflower woman was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend the same day she obtained a restraining order to keep him away from her and her son, who was also shot when the suspect burst into their

California law allows an unhoused or homeless voter to participate in the election, said Dean Logan, who oversees the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. “They can register to vote, they can list the cross street where they spend the most of their time, where they lay their head at night," Logan said.

A 54-year-old mother who had filed a restraining order in Whittier against her ex-boyfriend was shot and killed that same day by him, according to authorities. Her son was also shot but is recovering.
