The first DCU entry, Creature Commandos, is based on an obscure DC Comic about monster soldiers fighting in World War II.

Following on the heels of a strong appearance at New York Comic Con, DC released a first look at some of the merchandise they will be releasing to promote the DC Universe’s first installment, December’s Creature Commandos animated series.

Creature Commandos received a brand-new trailer at NYCC, and it reveals an extended preview of the show that will officially kick off the DCU. Oh, and it gave us our first look at Clayface and Circe in the series!

“Creature Commandos” is the first title releasing from Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Studios, which is relaunching the DC Universe. The show picks up after Gunn’s “Peacemaker” Season 1, with Davis’ Amanda Waller assembling a brand new, black ops team — think Suicide Squad, but with undead creatures.
