Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 has been confirmed to include the Highwind for some time now. Fans have wondered just how far Square Enix is going to go with it, and we finally know the answer. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that players will be able to "fly freely" around the map with it and that the devs didn't want to "cheat the system".

Over on Open Critic, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has an impressive 93% top critic average, putting it at a "Mighty" rating. A staggering 99% of critics recommend it as a must-play. While Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is only available on the PS5, Square Enix has publicly stated that they are looking to release more titles simultaneously on each platform.

Less than a year on from the release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the second game in the FF7 remake trilogy, it has been confirmed that the plot for the third and final instalment has been finished, and developer Square Enix has begun to work on it.

Square Enix has promised it won't "cheat" when it comes to Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3’s airship. Fans of the original Final Fantasy 7 will know that the Highwind is an airship from the original Final Fantasy 7 that Cloud and the crew unlock in Act 3.

The plot for the third part in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy has been completed and the game has entered full development, according to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi and producer Yoshinori Kitase.

While Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – the second entry in Square Enix’s remake trilogy – offered a vast open world, fans of the original PS1 title will know the Highwind airship forms a crucial part of traversal in the closing act of the game.
