A New Mexico judge has denied ‘Rust’ armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed’s request for new trial or dismissal of her involuntary manslaughter conviction for the 2021 death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

The armorer’s lawyers failed to convince the judge that the same evidence dispute that led her to toss the actor’s manslaughter charge had deprived their client of a fair trial.
