A Pottstown man lost his bid for bail while he awaits court action on charges he attempted to kill a borough police officer when he allegedly grabbed for the officer’s gun that discharged, causing

William Ciccoli Jr., 42, was struggling with Cpl. Anthony Fischer while another officer was attempting to place him under arrest when he grabbed Fischer’s gun and fired one shot, authorities said.

A police officer was rushed to the hospital after responding to a domestic incident in Pottstown Friday afternoon, the Montgomery County DA's office said.
