Qantas says there's been minimal disruption so far from industrial action by its maintenance workers, who are seeking a better pay deal from the airline. But that hasn't dampened the enthusiasm on the part of workers taking the action.

Engineers at Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth airports walked off the job as part of industrial action pushing for a major pay increase.

The line maintenance staff, who are responsible for towing and marshalling aircraft as well as performing turnaround checks, joined existing strike action by engines and components maintenance workers.
