The government of Canada has designated the group Samidoun as a terrorist entity in a joint action with the U.S., both governments announced Tuesday.

Canada has listed Samidoun, a Vancouver-based anti-Israel organization, as a terror group, according to a news release from Public Safety Canada.

Organizations like Samidoun masquerade as charitable actors that claim to provide humanitarian support to those in need, yet in reality divert funds... to support terrorist groups,” the U.S. Treasury Department said.
