Portugal has conceded nine tries and still wasn’t disgraced in a 59-21 loss at Scotland in its latest meeting with a top-tier opponent in the wake of its breakthrough performance at last year’s Rugby World Cup.

Scotland will be looking to put on a show as they host Portugal at Murrayfield this afternoon. Gregor Townsend’s impressed in defeat to South Africa last weekend, fighting back to get within four points of the world champions before the Springboks pulled away in the closing stages.

Scotland were beaten by South Africa in the Autumn Nations Test Series but they will be looking to get back to winning ways when they face Portugal in Edinburgh on Saturday
