New Orleans' most notorious runaway, Scrim the dog, is back on the lam. Why it matters: After launching himself from a second-story window of a Mid-City home, Scrim escaped and was last spotted Uptown.

Scrim, a 2-year-old terrier mix, became notorious in New Orleans for avoiding capture over the course of several months. He first escaped from his adoptive home back in April, and at the end of October, he was finally caught again. Just a week ago Scrim was given a proclamation from the New Orleans City Council.

After being caught and rescued last month, Scrim, a dog that had Mid-City residents searching everywhere for nearly 6 months, is on the run again. The owner said Scrim jumped 13 feet from a second-floor window and escaped on Friday morning.
